Haji is an Exceed from Extalia, a member of Fairy Tail, and a partner-less Exceed. He claims Natsu Dragneel as his partner at several points in the series, something which annoys his true Exceed partner, Happy. He is currently a member of Team Kaoru as an assisting and supposedly temporary member.
Appearance[]
Haji is an odd-looking Exceed, barely resembling a cat and more a lion. He is commonly mistaken for being a stuffed toy. He has light brown, cream-ish colored fur with darker brown hair in an afro-like style. He has small claws that are often clipped by Kaoru in order to prevent scratches. The inside of his ears are a light pink and his eyes are dark black with a slight white pupil-like shine within them. His eyebrows are also considerably thing and according to Happy, resemble pencil markings. Since joining Fairy Tail, he gained a stamp which is on his left paw and a light yellow color.
Personality[]
When he was first introduced, Haji was rude, impatient, perverted and cowardly. Even though she had saved him from an avalanche, he left Kaoru behind in order to save himself from Natsu Dragneel. He was later shown regretting this decision, although this is most likely because of Natsu trying to kill him with his magic. However, he quickly began to show more compassion and care for those around him, eventually apologizing to and even crying for Kaoru while she was in the hospital after the avalanche.
Since becoming a member of Team Kaoru, he appears to have become less-cowardly, rude, and impatient, although he actually seems to be more perverted. He cares strongly and deeply for Kaoru, even going as far as to follow her into a battle she was going to lose in order to remain by her side. He is also shown to be quite sweet to her, having bought her a new fan and given her flowers as an apology for supposedly not supporting her.
