Sylvia Sylvester (詩琉弁寿多 詩琉美亜, Shirubeshuta Shirubia) is a Mage of the Lamia Scale guild, the owner of the Magic Item, Magic Boots and a member of Team Lamia Scale B participating in the Grand Magic Games. She is the partner to Leo Lawrence, whom is also her dating partner as of late X791. She is well-known for her use of the Magic Boots, gaining the moniker Sylvia the Boot.

Sylvia is an attractive, lithe eighteen-year old girl with dark violet eyes and long dark green hair tied into two ponytails with bangs across her forehead. Her bangs are split into three parts, two similar fractions framing her face with shorter hairs in between and a thick fraction across the center of her face. Like her partner Leo, she wears a set of earrings in her ears which are ball-like.
She wears a uniform like her partner, Leo. The first version of the uniform consisted of a simple light blue and silver jacket with a rose symbol on the left side of her chest, a matching skirt, dark purple stockings which were the unreleased form of her Magic Boots, and a set of simple black ankle-high boots.
She later altered this into a wider-sleeve black jacket with a zip-up collar, a silver belt, short black shorts, a leg covering of sorts on her left side, and a set of fingerless, black gloves similar to those worn by Leo.

Sylvia is generally a kind, friendly, and ambitious individual. She is stubborn and determined when she finds a goal, as she demonstrated when she assisted in the rescue of Wendy Marvell, Porlyusica, and Exceed Carla, regardless of the guild differences. She tends to be courageous, having also fought against the terrifying abilities of Koto Lohr. It was during her battle with Koto that her attachment to her friends was depicted, having been to the point of suicide after witnessing an illusion of their deaths.
Even after giving the battle her all, Sylvia lost to Koto, which had a large impact on her. She felt helpless for causing her guild to lose a chance to win the Grand Magic Games, which she viewed as being a place where the guild could be recognized for "how great they really were". She recognizes the individuality within her guild and wants the world to recognize this individuality, often saying "There's no place like Lamia Scale!". She states her own dream to be her guild-mates' dreams coming true, further demonstrating her profound attachment to her friends.
